I keep a running checklist to keep track of each student's progress in learning the abc sounds. During pair reading time, I focus my one-on-one efforts on the newest students who haven't mastered the abc sounds yet. These flashcards and section one of the abc English Student Book are helpful resources in teaching students the abc sounds quickly and efficiently. It has been helpful to keep a checklist of all the students who have "passed off" the abc sounds, need a little more help, or need regular tutoring in the abc sounds.
There are also several abc flashcard games described in the Teacher's Activity Guides.
For best printing, print two-sided in color and uncheck the box "fit to page" in the print window if needed.
Feel free to print multiple sets to use in your classroom or for your students to take home. I like to store each set in a sandwich sized ziplock bag. If you have suggestions for using abc flashcards with students, please share in the comments section below.
